We develop and fund innovative grants in the areas of student leadership development, juvenile diabetes (type 1 diabetes), hunger relief, early childhood education, and military family support.
Who We Are
Lift a Life Foundation is a private family foundation funded by David and Wendy Novak. It was established in 1999 as a charitable trust to provide charitable grants and scholarships to people in need.
The Lift a Life Foundation is investing in a leadership curriculum that teaches and prepares students to think and act like 21 st -century leaders while making a difference in the world. We believe that by scaling these leadership programs, we can ignite potential leaders to make a difference in the lives of others and create a better culture.
The Lift a Life Foundation founder Wendy Novak, was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of seven. Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a chronic disease that impacts the daily life of the patient and his or her family. T1D impacts not only the physical well-being of a patient but also their social and emotional health.
Hunger is a basic need that must be eradicated before anyone can achieve their full potential. Hunger is a major problem in every community and around the world. The Lift a Life Foundation is partnering with hunger relief agencies that are global and local to help feed more people.
Encouraging Early Childhood Education
We believe that the love of learning develops early in life and builds the foundation for educational success in the future. This is why investments in early childhood programs have the greatest returns. We are focused on equipping parents and early childhood educators with the tools needed to help their children reach their full educational potential.
Honoring Our Military Heroes
Military servicemen and women sacrifice in incredible ways to serve the United States. We desire to support these American Heroes by providing for their spouses and children. We partner with the Folds of Honor Foundation to support educational scholarships for the spouses and children of fallen or disabled servicemen who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
